USD: Still Expecting Modest USD Mean-Reversion Upside - BofA

By eFXdata  —  Apr 22 - 09:37 AM

Bank of America Global Research discusses the USD outlook and maintains a bearish bias into the year-end.

"We continue to look for USD to modestly strengthen through the end of the year, and we look for the euro to go slightly lower to 1.15 against the dollar. While our forecasts are a bit against consensus, our expectations for USD upside still essentially represent a slight move towards mean-reversion relative to the USD’s range against G10 over the past couple of years," BofA notes.

"Ultimately, our USD views largely reflect our expectations for US outperformance in terms of growth, fueled by fiscal policy, the recovering consumer, and relative speed on vaccinations against COVID-19," BofA adds.
